Stirling Capital Investments’ new 447.7k sf industrial facility currently under construction at Southern California Logistics Centre (SCLC) is now fully leased, after the company has completed lease signings with Arden Companies and Newell Brands for the entire logistics structure. SCLC is a 2,500-acre commercial and industrial complex entitled for 60 msf of development in Victorville.
Arden™ Companies, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of outdoor cushions, furniture and décor, agreed to a deal for 211k sf at the new building. By relocating its Rancho Cucamonga, California manufacturing facility, Arden will provide a larger manufacturing footprint on the west coast which will accommodate increased future production.
In the second deal, Newell Brands (formerly known as Newell Rubbermaid) secured an additional 233.7k sf of space at the facility. A tenant of SCLC since 2007, the leading consumer goods company had expanded its original space in 2013 from 407.6k sf to 584.4k sf. The latest lease reflects further expansion of Newell Brands’ High Desert operations platform. The newly leased space is earmarked for regional and national distribution of Newell Brand products.
Jay Dick of CBRE represented Stirling Capital Investments in both lease transactions. Walt Chenoweth of Voit Real Estate Services repped Arden Companies in their lease transaction, and Newell Products was represented by Art Garcia, Director of Global Real Estate.
