Woodland Hills-based Klorman Construction has been selected to provide the structural concrete work on drug maker Gilead Science Incs planned 400k sf, corporate office and manufacturing facility in La Verne.
Rudolph and Sletten Inc is the general contractor on the project, located at 1800 Wheeler Ave. Ferguson Pape Baldwin Architects is providing the design work.
The five-building manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory and office space is part of the 23-acre campus environment Gilead Science is developing for its planned relocation from San Dimas. The new campus will employ 500 people.
Klorman Construction will oversee construction of foundations, slabs and equipment pads. The project will consist of:
A two-level, 91k sf sterile manufacturing space
A two-level, 49k sf central utility plan
A three-level, 106k sf lab and office space
A two-level, 138k sf warehouse and packaging facility
A single-level, 3.4k sf hazardous materials handling space
