We’ve learned that 540 acres of development land in the AZ town of Marana will be available for purchase through an online auction through micoley.com, scheduled for August 23. The land is part of the Tortolita Mountains, and is just northwest of Tucson in Fresnal Canyon. It’s located near the prestigious Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain Hotel and Golf Club, along with miles of hiking trails throughout the mountains.
Though the property is currently zoned agricultural and has a natural grazing land lease that runs through October 31, 2017, the land can be used for a luxury housing development, and features both flat and sloped terrain, opening up lots of possibilities. Phone and electric are at the lot line, and there are also two operating wells.
Residents of Marana utilize the town’s many parks and hiking trails, but the town also prides itself on being the most business-friendly community in Arizona, as well. Marana sports its own regional airport, which has helped the town cement itself as a tourist destination, too.
The property, located on Carpenter Ranch Rd, is listed at $2.995 mil, with an opening bid of $1.395 mil if no offers are received before the auction on August 23.
