Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP Takes 57k sf at New Houston Office Tower

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP (Orrick), the international law firm, has signed a 12-year lease for 56.7k sf of office space in downtown Houston. The transaction is at 609 Main at Texas, the new downtown tower developed by Hines.

Located at the corner of Main and Texas streets in downtown Houston, the 48-story, 1.05 msf high-rise was designed by the internationally recognized architectural firm Pickard Chilton. It is cheduled for completion in early 2017.

Orrick launched its Houston office in early 2016 and will relocate to 609 Main at Texas in mid-2017. The firm was represented in lease negotiations by Charles Gordon, Paul Penland, and Stephen Bay with CBRE. Michael Anderson and Damon Thames with Colvill Office Properties represented Hines.

With this lease, 609 Main at Texas stands at 50 percent committed. Other notable tenants include Kirkland & Ellis LLP and United Airlines.
