400 Inverness, a four-story, 124.4k sf, Class A office building located at 400 Inverness Pkwy in Englewood, a suburb southeast of Denver, has been awarded LEED Gold Certification for energy efficiency and sustainability. The building is owned by San Diego-based Westcore Properties.
LEED certification, which is developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council, promotes design and operations practices that reduce negative environmental impacts, improve tenant health and well-being, and reduce costs. The LEED Gold Certification for 400 Inverness was achieved in part by the building’s Energy Star rating of 86, indicating top energy performance, as well as it achieving top points in water efficient landscaping, alternative transportation, and on-site and off-site renewable energy.
The 400 Inverness building is Westcore’s second Colorado office building to receive top honors for responsible management and sustainability. Earlier this year, the company’s URS Center in Denver won the International TOBY Award for “Outstanding Building of the Year” in the category of 100k sf to 249.9k sf. The Class A office building was hailed for representing the best in its class for ownership, management and operational practices.
Located near the Park Meadows Mall, 400 Inverness features a contemporary reflective glass design, a generous parking ratio including covered parking, and shower and locker facilities. The building is 89 percent leased to a variety of tenants including 20/20 Institute, Chubb Insurance and Willbros Engineering.
