Mountain View Corporate Center I and IV have received Silver certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEEDŽ for Existing Buildings (EB) rating system. Located in Broomfield, CO, the office campus is situated at the entrance to the Interlocken Office Park along the U.S. 36 corridor between Denver and Boulder. The buildings are owned by Hines, which purchased the 461.4k sf complex in 2006 on behalf of its U.S. Office Value Added Fund.
Both buildings have carried the ENERGY STARŽ label every year since 2008. With a current weighted-average score of 87, the buildings are 37 percent more energy efficient and annually save $0.96 in energy costs per square foot when compared to the average U.S. office building. This translates to estimated annual greenhouse gas reductions equivalent to removing 241 passenger vehicles from the road, or reducing gasoline consumption by137,758 gallons.
Green features and programs include: integrated pest and landscape management; a 33 percent reduction in potable water usage; and a high-performance green cleaning program. Additionally, Hines offers its proprietary GREEN OFFICE for Tenants program, which assists in giving tenants options to reduce their carbon footprint.
The buildings are 89 percent leased to a notable tenant roster including: Acxiom Corporation; Corporate Office Centers; ENGlobal Engineering; Presilient, LLC; and Whitewave Foods.
