Crossroads Community Church leased a 32.9k sf industrial building in Camarillo in an effort to expand its presence in the area. The building is located at 161 Plaza la Vista, south of Ventura Blvd and the 101 Fwy, and will enable the church to relocate from a smaller location on Calle Suerte. The terms of the lease were not disclosed.
Crossroads Community Church, which was established in 1985, is following a growing trend of churches utilizing large-sized industrial properties for houses of worship. Industrial brokers Doug Shaw, Paul Farry, Jim Meaney, Indira Rodriguez and Corey Baggett with CB Richard Ellis represented both the landlord and tenant in the lease negotiations.
Also in Camarillo, the first of seven for-sale industrial condos at Carga Business Center was recently sold. The sale was for a 5.5k sf unit at 4730 Calle Cargo, which was purchased by Pacific Aire Inc for $1.07 mil ($195/sf). There are currently six remaining units, ranging in size from 6.3k sf to 9.5k sf, available for purchase at the Carga Business Center.
Mike Foxworthy, Jr. of GVA Daum handled negotiations for the buyer, a leading heating and cooling company in the region. The seller, Integrated Capital LLC, was represented by CBRE’s Paul Farry, Doug Shaw, Jim Meaney, Indira Rodriguez and Corey Baggett.
