Brixton Capital has acquired Santee Town Center, a 103.9k sf shopping center in Santee, in an off-market transaction. The property was sold by Los Angeles-based Union City Investments.
Located at 270 Town Center Blvd, the shopping center is 100% leased. Tenants include Ross Dress for Less, Michaels, Big Lots, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Skechers, Dollar Tree and Scripps Clinic, as well as several other neighborhood-servicing tenants.
According to Brixton’s Vice President of Acquisitions Jim Hamilton, “Santee is one of the fastest growing areas of San Diego. Santee Town Center offers us the opportunity to own one of the premier retail centers within the primary shopping hub of this burgeoning community. The center has a great mix of both national brand name and local tenants whose strong performance is a direct reflection on the property’s excellent position within the market.”
Tracey Beal of Parkstone represented the seller in the transaction. Brixton Capital was repped by Sean Cox, Alex Moore, Dan MacLellan and Gene Ventura of Faris Lee Investments.
Brixton’s acquisition of Santee Town Center brings its portfolio of retail properties to over 3.4 msf. Overall, Brixton owns and operates a portfolio valued in excess of $1.6 bil, representing over 10 msf of retail, multi-family, office and land investments across the United States and Europe.
