The San Diego Pendry Hotel, a new luxury hotel brand operated under the Montage Hotels & Resorts, was refinanced with an $85 mil bridge loan used to take out the existing construction facility. The new hotel, which just opened to the public in February of this year, is owned by a venture between The Robert Green Company, Montage Hotels & Resorts and Dan Kloiber. The loan was arranged by George Smith Partners (GSP).
The property, located in downtown San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, is a 317-room trophy asset that features a spectacular rooftop pool, a luxurious spa, six restaurants and bars and 35k sf of high-end meeting and event space. Pendry San Diego is located at 550 J St, in close proximity to the San Diego Convention Center and Petco Park.
The loan was arranged by George Smith Partners’ Malcolm Davies, Evan Kinne and Alex Rossinsky.
