The law firm Morris & Sullivan LLP has leased 15.8k sf at 9915 Mira Mesa Blvd, one of two classy, low-rise buildings that make up Scripps Ranch at Monarch Corporate Center, a 112.4k sf Class A development at 9915 Mira Mesa Blvd, south of Scripps Poway Pkwy and just east of I-15 in Mira Mesa. The 10-year lease is valued at $5.8 mil ($3.06/sf/mo).
Monarch Corporate Center consists of three-story, 56.2k sf office buildings that feature distinctive architecture with wrap-around glass exterior. The 9915 Mira Mesa building is currently 73 percent occupied with six suites remaining available. Tenants include UCSD, Gable Residential, National Life Insurance Company, Prudential Realty and Wiseman + Rohy.
Jeb Bakke, Scott Kincaid and Tyler Gosset of CB Richard Ellis are the exclusive leasing team for Monarch Corporate Center and repped the landlord side of this latest deal on behalf of Vinings Trace LLC. Elizabeth Burke, also with CBRE is the manager for the building.
Dave Odmark of Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial represented the tenant, a seven-year-old firm that specializes in civil litigation, construction law, trademark infringement and personal injury. Since January of 2007, Morris & Sullivan has secured over $5 mil in jury verdicts in favor of its clients.

In other recent office leasing news from the region, Micro Focus Inc, a software provider, signed a five-year, $2.06 mil lease for 11.6k sf ($2.96/sf/mo) of Class A office space in One Pacific Heights, located at 9920 Pacific Heights Blvd, east of I-805 on the north side of Mira Mesa Blvd in Sorrento Mesa. One Pacific Heights is a five-story, 120.4k sf office building that features a newly remodeled lobby and common area, and is located next door to Woodfin Suite Hotel.
Both the tenant and the property owner, RREEF America REIT III Corp, were represented by Mark Wayne and Marc Posthumus of Cushman & Wakefield.
A few miles west of there, at 10575 Roselle St, west of Sorrento Valley Rd and about midway between I-5 and I-805, Stemgent Inc agreed to a five-year, $1.45 mil lease for 10k sf ($2.42/sf/mo) of office space. Stemgent will use the space to focus on providing novel, high-quality application-tested consumable stem cell technologies to scientists working in the field of stem cell science and regenerative medicine.
The property is owned by The Shidler Group, which was represented by Chad Urie and Grant Schoneman of Colliers International. Stemgent was repped by Brian Cooper, Brent Jacobs, and Greg Bisconti of Cushman & Wakefield.
