In recent San Diego County leasing news, Imperial Capital Bancorp renewed its 21.9k sf of office space in La Jolla, after inking a five-year, $5.02 mil ($3.82/sf/mo) deal at the La Jolla Bank Building, located at 888 Prospect St, just south of Jenner St and a couple of blocks in from the coast. The three-story office building totals 62k sf and is 100 percent leased to such tenants as Wachovia Securities, Time Warner and Daily’s Restaurant.
Michael Jones of CRESA Partners represented the tenant, while the property owner, 888 Prospect LJ LLC, was represented by Michael Dyer and Pascal Aubry-Dumand of Cushman & Wakefield.
About five miles northeast of there, in the University Towne Centre area, the Waage Law Firm, a San Diego-based firm specializing in taxation, corporate law, real estate investments, trusts, and retirement and estate planning, has signed a sublease for 22.6k sf on the sixth and part of the seventh floor at La Jolla Centre II, at 9255 Towne Centre Dr, just north of La Jolla Village Dr. The three-year deal has a value of around $2.4 mil ($2.95/sf/mo).
The firm, which had previously occupied 13.4k sf in the same building, was represented by Michael Labelle and Christina Skwat with Studley. Dan McCarthy of Cushman & Wakefield represented the sublessor, Chatham Capital Corp.
And in the Sabre Springs area, Keller Williams Realty leased 6.1k sf of office space in a five-year, $1.14 mil ($3.11/sf/mo) transaction at Sabre Springs Executive Center, located at 13400 Sabre Springs Pkwy. Located at the I-15 and SR-56 junction, Sabre Springs Executive Center is a 48.4k sf Class A office building that is 92.4 percent occupied with current tenants including A.G. Edwards and defense contractor Sparta.
At present, the two-story building only has three available suites of 553 sf, 1k sf and 2.1k sf. The building overlooks a 20-acre open space park and Chicarita Creek, and also features on-site showers and lockers.
