AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc (AMCAL) has broken ground on Oceana Apartments, a 78-unit LEED Gold affordable housing development located in Huntington Beach.
Oceana Apartments is being developed under a creative partnership with the City of Huntington Beach and TRI Point Homes, a prominent private homebuilder who provided inclusionary financing for the project. With significant support from the city, AMCAL and TRI Point Homes worked in partnership to provide high quality affordable workforce housing while meeting local Inclusionary Housing Requirements for a single family development proposed by TRI Point Homes.
Complementary social services for families will include adult education and health services such as computer training, job skills training, ESL classes, health nutrition programs, after school programs and parenting classes.
Oceana Apartments will replace a single-story, underutilized commercial building, and is AMCAL’s fifth affordable housing development in Orange County.
