We’ve got a couple of recent industrial lease signings in the San Fernando Valley to mention. These latest deals are by, a refrigerated foods transportation company, and Moviemachines, a vehicle provider for the entertainment industry, which have both taken space at a 300k sf facility in the city of San Fernando, at the north end of the Valley.
Originally constructed in 1957 and then renovated in 2007, the building is located at 13571 Vaughn St, north of the 118 Fwy about a block from San Fernando Rd. True Star Transit will occupy a 26.3k sf space and Moviemachines will take 46.3k sf at the property.
David Harding, Greg Geraci, Matt Dierckman and Billy Walk of CBRE represented the property owner, Los Angeles-based Accord Interests LLC, in both lease deals. The team also repped Moviemachines in their transaction. Bennett Robinson, also with CBRE, represented True Star Transit in its lease agreement.
“True Star Transit expanded their refrigerated transportation operation that services nationwide freight for some of the top food manufacturers in the country,” said Robinson. “True Star Transit has been gaining traction as one of the fastest-growing refrigerated food transportation companies in the country and will be expanding their suite of services to food companies with their new warehouse.”
“Moviemachines is in the entertainment business, which has been all but shut down in the last two months,” said Harding. “However, they are expecting a surge in demand once production reopens and needed to move to a larger space to accommodate the expected increase in demand.”
