Pacific West Communities Inc paid just over $2 mil for 6.53 acres in Indio. The property, located at 47555 Jefferson St on a main artery through the city, was sold by United States Marshals Service.
The land parcel is in one of the fastest growing areas of the Coachella Valley, surrounded by major retailers including Costco, BevMo, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Stater Bros., PetSmart, Big 5 Sporting Goods and others national retailers. The site is accessible from Highway 111, one of the primary commercial arteries for Indio; 27,333 cars per day travel through Jefferson St and Hwy 111. The owner plans to build low income housing and retail on the site.
Gian Starita and Kenneth Ward with NAI Capital represented the seller in the transaction. The sale price worked out to $317,283 per acre. According to Starita and Ward, the land will be used for the development of additional affordable housing in Indio.
