CBRE has promoted Philip Voorhees to Vice Chairman, the highest producer ranking at the firm. Voorhees heads the National Retail Partners– West (NRP-West) team, which has closed 63 transactions year to date, and all time closings of $11 bil.
Based in Newport Beach, Voorhees and his team represent sellers of retail properties in the Western U.S., California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii. Since the start of 2012, the group has sold 316 retail assets, totaling more than $5 bil in value as of the third quarter 2018.
“Phil has earned this title through a relentless focus and drive, exceptional execution and consistent high performance,” said Senior Managing Director Jeffrey Moore, who helps lead the Orange County market for CBRE and oversees retail services for all Southern California. “He surrounds himself with talented professionals who share his same core values and embrace the CBRE Platform. Phil has been recognized as a leader in the industry and has been a mentor to many within the company.”
Voorhees and his team’s most significant assignments this year include the $133 mil trade of Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, AZ, the Bella Terra adjacent Edinger Plaza for $65.5 mil in Huntington Beach, CA and $46.5 mil sale of Bristol Center in Santa Ana, CA.
Since joining CBRE in 2001, Voorhees has consistently ranked among the firm’s top producers. In 2015, he was the company’s No. 1 retail investment broker nationally. Voorhees was also part of the firm’s coveted Top 100 in Southern California for 13 years.
