Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has signed a long-term lease at the world-class Wilshire Grand Center, the new, 2.1 msf commercial development in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The firm will occupy the 24th and 25th floors at the prominent skyscraper, developed by owner Hanjin International Corp, which is an affiliate of Korean Air.
With an anticipated move-in date in early October, 2017, Cushman & Wakefield’s new workplace will house 200 employees. Designed to elevate employee health, happiness, mindfulness and productivity, the space will be certified by the WELL Building Standard™ and will achieve LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Design features will include a dramatic two-story atrium, interconnecting stairs, a large café on the perimeter, open collaboration areas, and 360-degree views of the city. The space is being designed by acclaimed design studio Aref & Associates.
Designed by local architecture firm A.C. Martin Partners, the newly constructed high-rise is the tallest building west of the Mississippi River with a height of 1,100 feet. The distinctive tower is topped by a stainless steel spire.
In addition to the office portion of Wilshire Grand Center, the property will house a luxury four-star hotel by InterContinental Hotels Group with 900 state-of-the-art rooms on floors 31 through 69. It will also include outdoor plazas, meeting rooms, a rooftop pool, an open sky deck bar, and over 45k sf of restaurant and retail space. The project is slated for completion in June 2017.
Spanning an entire 2.8-acre city block bordered by Wilshire Blvd, Seventh St, South Figueroa St and Francisco Streets at 900 Wilshire Blvd, the tower’s central location offers immediate access to the Seventh Street Metro Station, the FIGat7th shopping center, and numerous lifestyle amenities emerging from the cultural renaissance occurring within Downtown L.A.
