Funai Corporation Renews 78k sf Torrance Space

Funai Corporation has signed a $3.5 mil, five-year lease extension for its 75.2k sf ($0.78/sf/mo) west coast offices in Torrance. Funai is the North American sales and marketing company for consumer electronic products made by its parent, Funai Electric Co Ltd, of Japan.

Funai will remain in a high-end industrial facility located at 19900 Van Ness Ave, north of Del Amo Blvd and east of Crenshaw Blvd. Approximately 50 people are employed at the site.

Frank Schulz, SIOR, David Prior, SIOR, and Todd Taugner, SIOR, with The Klabin Company, represented Funai in the lease renewal. John Schumacher of CBRE repped Heitman, the property owner.

In addition to the consumer electronics brands sold by Funai Corporation and other Funai sales and marketing companies throughout Asia, Europe, and South America, Funai Electric Company is a major original equipment manufacturer and supplier for appliance consumer electronic, printer and computer peripheral companies.
