Teledyne Instruments Inc has agreed to what we’re told is the largest industrial lease in central San Diego so far this year, after signing a 10-year, $22 mil deal for 124.8k sf ($1.47/sf/mo) of space. The renewal/expansion transaction is for two buildings in the Scripps Ranch submarket.
Teledyne is expanding into the 9970 Carroll Canyon Rd building, while also renewing its lease at 9855 Carroll Canyon Rd, across the street. The properties are located north of Pomerado Rd and just east of I-15.
Bill Dolan and Chris Pascale of CBRE represented the landlord, Gateway Colorado Properties Inc. Craig Estey of Cushman and Wakefield repped the tenant.
“The expansion building will combine the growing operations of both Teledyne API, which is relocating from Sorrento Mesa, as well as Teledyne Impulse, which is currently located in Scripps Ranch,” said Dolan. “Teledyne was drawn to the corporate image and functional attributes of the properties for its office, engineering, and manufacturing operations, as well as the beautiful outdoor lifestyle in Scripps Ranch and proximity to Interstate 15.
