Newport Beach-based Steadfast Companies just launched its newly formed securities and financial services division, Steadfast Capital Markets Group LLC (“SCMG”). It will be led by J. Grayson Sanders, Chief Executive Officer, and Aaron G. Cook, President.
Sanders will be responsible for the creation of investment products and overseeing the sales and distribution efforts for SCMG. Cook will manage the development and distribution of the firm’s privately placed and publicly registered investment products through the retail broker-dealer and institutional channels.
Sanders’ career spans more than 38 years in real estate and financial markets. Prior to joining Steadfast, he served as president of CNL Fund Advisors Company, a registered investment adviser that specialized in offering real estate investment services, and concurrently, as president of CNL Capital Markets. Before joining CNL in 2004, Sanders served as managing director of marketing with AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. in New York. While there, Sanders managed product development, capital formation and investor services for a variety of international real estate funds.
As president of SCMG, Cook will oversee business and product development, operations, finance, sales, marketing and have supervisory responsibility. He has more than 13 years of securities and financial services industry experience and has supervised and assisted in the placement of more than $1.3 bil of investor equity in real estate investment offerings over the last several years. Cook formerly served as executive vice president and national sales manager for a national real estate sponsor, and as managing director and national sales manager for Grubb and Ellis Investors (F.K.A. Triple Net Properties, LLC), where he and his team reorganized and developed the wholesale distribution systems.
