Holland Partner Group has completed work on a 285.4k sf, infill mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Long Beach. The project, Volta on Pine, features 271 apartment units, 1.3k sf of ground-level retail, subterranean parking and extensive sidewalk space to activate the pedestrian experience.
Volta on Pine was designed by MVE + Partners. The landscape architect for the project was LRM and the interior design firm was Arial Fox.
Located at 635 Pine Ave, Volta on Pine is conveniently located in the city center near public transit with direct access to numerous restaurants, retail shops, parks, beaches, entertainment and more. Situated on two adjacent lots, the mid-rise buildings are linked together by a sky bridge across a separating alleyway.
The community boasts a host of shared spaces and amenities including a rooftop terrace and sky lounge, fitness center, swimming pool with sun deck, hot hub, outdoor grills, and firepits, parcel lockers, electric vehicle charging stations, bike storage and three levels of subterranean parking totaling 341 parking stalls.
Comprised of 231.2k sf of rentable space, units range from 629 sf to 1.4k sf in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, some with street facing entry. Holland Partner Group will dedicate 11 apartment units as median-income affordable housing.
Key apartment highlights include custom-finish packages, keyless entry, Nest thermostats, LED lit vanity mirrors, soft close drawers and cabinets, in-home full-size washer and dryer, high end kitchen counters and appliances, solar mesh roller shades, soaking tubs, and large balconies and windows offering abundant natural light and picturesque views.
