The Downtown LA-based Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC), a support and advocacy network for the formerly incarcerated, has expanded and relocated its headquarters to 12.6k sf of creative office space in downtown Los Angeles. The organization’s new space is at Row DTLA, located at 1320 E. Seventh St.
ARC, a non-profit coalition currently operating at 448 S. Hill St., offers re-entry services, including education and employment assistance, supportive housing, and trauma counseling. The group, which assists more than 400 formerly incarcerated young people across the state, is expected to move to its newly constructed home at the end of the December. New York-based developer Atlas Capital redeveloped the Row DTLA and will be customizing the space for ARC.
There are over 20 tenants at the 30-acre Row DTLA site at Seventh and Alameda streets, which in recent history had been used as a produce distribution hub. Current tenants range from fashion shops to Tokyobike, a Japanese bicycle shop, Adidas, and Café Dulce, a coffee shop and bakery. The Row is also home to the popular weekly food festival Smorgasbord LA containing dozens of food, shopping, and wellness pop-ups.
Nathan Pellow, James A. Robbins, and Nick Nybakken with Colliers International represented ARC in the transaction. Terms of the lease wree not disclosed.
