Ballast Point Tasting Room & Kitchen inked a 10-year lease for 11.4k sf of restaurant space in Long Beach. The site is located at 110 N. Marina, adjacent to the water at Alamitos Bay Landing in the heart of Long Beach’s Seaport Village.
This is the popular San Diego-based brewer’s first location in Los Angeles County. Ballast Point Tasting Room & Kitchen is the brewer’s largest location and includes seating for 670 customers. The location contains three bars and a large outdoor patio that offers views of Catalina, Seal Beach and Alamitos Bay.
Keith Kropfl and Michael Ganz of Avison Young, along with Jeff Chasin of Voit Real Estate Services, represented Ballast Point, as well as the landlord, Bancap Seaport Village, Inc. The property was previously Khoury's, a banquet hall that was in need of a major renovation.
“We had been tasked by our client to identify a location in a thriving area with nightlife,” comments Kropfl. “After a thorough search, we believed the former Khoury’s site would be a perfect fit for Ballast Point; however, the property was not officially on the market. We approached the landlord and created a situation that was beneficial to everyone.”
