Latest Tenant to Sign at Columbia Square is a Legend

7/15/16

In the latest leasing activity at Kilroy Realty’s Columbia Square development in Los Angeles, Legend 3D agreed to an 11-year deal for 27k sf. The space is located within a five-story, 365k sf building at 1500 N. El Centro Ave.

Columbia Square is a 4.7-acre, mixed-use campus situated in the heart of Hollywood with frontage on Sunset Blvd. Legend, virtual reality and 3D visual effects and conversion company, will join other high profile tenants at the newly redeveloped campus including Viacom (MTV and Comedy Central), and Fender Guitars. On-site amenities include Sugarfish, Rubies and Diamonds Coffee, and Neuhouse.

Jacob Bobek and Aaron Wilder, who are based in Avison Young’s downtown Los Angeles office, represented Legend, The firm, and its 100 Hollywood-based employees, will be moving into its new space in December 2016 and will use the space for post-production, technology development and marketing functions.

“Our client is relocating and nearly tripling its space which is currently within two Hollywood locations and totals approximately 10k sf,” Wilder said. “The company is in the process of doing a full creative buildout of its new space that will include a state-of-the-art screening room.”

Along with its 3D and visual effects divisions, Legend offers full-scale virtual reality creative, production and post-production solutions – from concept to final color – for all types of 360-degree and VR content. Its VR staff works closely with creative agencies and directors to develop and storyboard both live action and CG content and with producers, creative directors, production designers and DPs on-set to capture the most effective images for both 2D and 3D 360-degree content.
