In residential development news out of the west San Fernando Valley, D.R. Horton has acquired the Glasner Lane project in West Hills for around $5 mil. The project, consisting of 20 single-family, detached residential lots averaging about 5k sf in size, is located at 22720 W. Vanowen St, just east of Fallbrook Ave.
The planned project will have a low density feel but is ideally located within walking and biking distance of several amenities, including the Westfield Topanga Mall, Fallbrook Center, Warner Center, West Hills Hospital & Medical Center, Shadow Ranch Park, and a number of educational and religious facilities. The site boasts convenient access to the 101, 405, & 118 freeways as well as the Metro Orange Line Busway.
At present, the land contains but a single house, however, demolition is expected to get underway in mid-2016 with construction on the new homes to follow immediately after. The houses are expected to average roughly 2.5k sf in size.
The property was sold by a family trust. Chris Gomez-Ortigoza, Associate at Land Advisors Organization, represented both parties in the sale.
