7-Eleven Corporation has signed a new seven-year, $7.4 mil lease for 146.3k sf ($0.60/sf/mo) of space in Santa Fe Springs that will result in the move of a regional warehouse and distribution center from Orange County into neighboring Los Angeles County.
The warehouse and distribution center will include approximately 35k sf of new cooler space that 7-Eleven plans to install. The space is within a larger 288.6k sf building owned by the Carson Companies at 12330 Lakeland Rd, east of Norwalk Blvd and south of Florence Ave.
Colliers Senior Vice Presidents Chuck Wilson and Jon Thys represented the Dallas-based convenience store operator, while CBRE’s Rick McGeagh repped the property owner.
“This facility will be their distribution center to service 7-Eleven store locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties by delivering dairy products, meat products, groceries, sandwiches, and fresh-baked goods, such as cookies, donuts and muffins,” said Wilson. “The industrial market in both Mid-Counties and North Orange County are extremely tight. This building is well located and has a yard area large enough to accommodate their trailer parking requirement.”
