Habitat for Humanity, the non-profit ecumenical Christian ministry that builds homes for people in need, has signed a 10-year, $2.7 mil lease for 30k sf ($0.75/sf/mo) of space in Torrance. The agency will use the industrial space, within a 75.6k sf building located at 18600 Crenshaw Blvd, for a Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at “a fraction of the retail price.” The stores are owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
The new for Habitat for Humanity ReStore will occupy a modern concrete tilt-up building featuring 2.4k sf of office space, three dock high loading doors and 24-feet clear height warehouse space.
Todd Taugner, SIOR, David Prior, SIOR, and Frank Schulz, SIOR, in the Torrance office of The Klabin Co represented Karney Management Company, the landlord, in the deal. Arnold Ng of Apex Commercial represented the tenant.
