GPI Companies and LStar Communities have started construction on a new 365 by Whole Foods Market at Sycamore Hills Plaza in the Inland Empire. The 80k sf shopping center is located in the master-planned community of Sycamore Hills in Upland and Claremont. The Upland store will be the first 365 store in Southern California's Inland Empire and among the first locations in the United States.
GPI Companies and LStar Communities started construction on Sycamore Hills Plaza in early 2016. Completion is planned for the fourth quarter of 2017. Thus far, the center has received commitments for 72 percent of the space from several popular retailers including CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, MOD Pizza, Orange Theory Fitness, Arby’s, Supercuts and Lee Spa Nails.
Ideally located at the intersection of the 210 Fwy and Baseline Rd, Sycamore Hills is a fully integrated, one-stop retail and residential community to be built on 42 acres. In addition to Sycamore Hills Plaza, the community will encompass up to 400 new homes and a host of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, lap pool, open space and clubhouse. The first phase of new homes will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.
JLL's Scott Kaplan, Erik Westedt and Blake Kaplan, along with Dan Samulski and Ryan Gast of CBRE, are handling leasing at the center. Sycamore Hills Plaza has availabilities to accommodate retailers in need of 1k sf to 7k sf of space.
