SEPTEMBER 27 - COSTA MESA
Car fans and anyone looking for a fun family outing won't want to miss Cuisin' For A Cure, the nation's largest one-day car show, which features over 4,000 hot rods, muscle cars, rare classic cars and trucks, a 1 1/2 mile “cruise course,” more than 200 automotive and food vendors, live entertainment, a Hot Wheels racing track for kids and much more.
Held on Saturday, September 27, from 7 am to 6 pm at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, the event also raises awareness about prostate cancer, provides free PSA prostate cancer screening tests for men over 40, and raises money for prostate cancer research at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. To date more than 5,200 men have been tested at the "save-your-life" car show, many of whom received a “see your doctor” notification.

DECEMBER 11 - BURBANK
WHAT: The Southern California chapter of CoreNet Global will hold its annual REmmy Awards on Thursday, December 11 at the glamorous Warner Bros. Studios Lot in Burbank. The gala evening will include awards recognizing leadership excellence and best practices in corporate real estate. Proceeds will be donated to the Southern California chapter of Junior Achievement to support their dedicated efforts to inspire kids to achieve in the business of life.
The award program includes three categories:
Corporate Real Estate Team Leadership Excellence, recognizing a corporation’s Southern California real estate department that has best demonstrated leadership and innovation throughout its real estate portfolio;
Innovative Workplace, recognizing a team whose collaboration and vision on a specific project raised the bar for real estate in Southern California and brought innovation and sustainability to the workplace; and
Corporate Citizen Award, recognizing a Southern California organization whose culture and development product represent commitment to sustainable design and social responsibility.
The black-tie event was established by CoreNet Global’s Southern California chapter to recognize corporate real estate best practices by recognizing innovation and the creative application of new ideas in corporate real estate and workplace management. Judging is done by national senior-level corporate real estate executives. Deadline for intent to submit a project is September 30 and nominations are due October 17 to the chapter office.
