Culichi Town Leases Restaurant Space in Hesperia

2/22/19

Culichi Town inked a lease for a 6k sf restaurant space in Hesperia. The location is the former Hidden Tavern space at 12728 Main St.

Construction of the restaurant is underway with the business slated to open in February. This will be Culichi Town’s 10th California restaurant and first location in the High Desert region of SoCal’s Inland Empire.

Built in the late 1990s and renovated in 2017, the restaurant is ideally located in one of the busiest retail hubs in the High Desert. It is adjacent to a Holiday Inn Express and directly across from High Desert Gateway, a 370k sf shopping center anchored by Super Target, Ross, Marshalls, Pier 1 Imports and Planet Fitness. The property enjoys excellent visibility on Main St. and features a freeway-visible pylon and monument signage.

Culichi Town, founded by Ramon Guerrero and his family in 2011, is a popular family friendly restaurant that serves “Sinaloa-style” meals combining seafood, fish and sushi creating a unique Mexican-Japanese fusion menu. The inspiration came from Guerroro’s hometown of Culiacan, Sinaloa and the flavorful foods popular in that region. The casual restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is also known for its high energy atmosphere with themed nights and mariachi style music. In addition to California, Culichi Town has restaurants in Chicago, Houston and Las Vegas with plans for several more and the ultimate goal of becoming the leading Sinaloense restaurant in the US representing the taste and atmosphere of the “Culichis”.

Gretchen Lastra and Chris Lindholm with Progressive Real Estate Partners represented the landlord, Hesperia-based Lemar Investments, in the transaction. The tenant was repped by Jose Chavez with Karpe Commercial Real Estate. Terms of the deal were not given out.
