Fitness chain 24 Hour Fitness has inked a lease for 38k sf of anchor space at San Carlos Village shopping center in eastern San Diego. Joining a vibrant roster of tenants, 24 Hour Fitness will be backfilling the former LA Fitness space.
Located at the intersection of Navajo Rd and Lake Murray Blvd in San Diego’s San Carlos community, San Carlos Village is a 125.7k sf neighborhood shopping center situated on 13.5 acres. It was originally developed in 1971 and underwent major renovation in 2004.
Bruce Schiff, CCIM, Phil Lyons, CCIM and Chad Iafrate, CCIM with Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services in San Diego represented the landlord, JH Real Estate Partners, in the transaction.

In just over two years, San Carlos Village upgraded its storefront façade and its anchor-tenant lineup by having recently secured major brands including Aldi and now 24 Hour Fitness. They join existing tenants such as Walgreens and Wells Fargo. This latest transaction for 24 Hour Fitness brings the center to full occupancy.
