DALLAS, TX. (March 25, 2008) — LNR Property Corporation’s Commercial Property Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Ken Kristofek from senior vice president to president of the Southwest region. Under his expert leadership, LNR’s Commercial Property Group will continue to deliver premiere commercial projects to communities in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma and New Mexico. LNR’s Commercial Property Group is the real estate development and investment division of LNR Property Corporation.
Based in the Dallas office, at 325 N. St. Paul Street, Kristofek will be responsible for finding acquisition opportunities, underwriting investments and overseeing the development of real estate projects in the Southwest region.
Kristofek was responsible for the acquisition of The Presidio, a 300-acre mixed-use project in Fort Worth, Texas. He will also manage the development of The Presidio and ensure that it meets the high-quality standards of LNR’s Commercial Property Group. When completed, The Presidio is anticipated to bring 1 million square feet of retail, restaurants and shops; 1,300 apartment units and 750,000 square feet of hotel, fitness and Class “A” office to the area. Construction of the project began in the first quarter of 2008.

Prior to his work with LNR’s Commercial Property Group, Kristofek served as the vice president and director of development for CarrAmerica. He was also the vice president of development for DalMac Investments, a project manager for LSJC Development Corporation and a technical coordinator for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
With more than 18 years of industry experience, Kristofek has been involved in the development of more than 5 million square feet of commercial space and has worked on facilities ranging from 50,000 square feet to more than 1 million square feet.
Kristofek holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois. He has also completed the University of Texas, Graduate School of Business, Executive Education and was a graduate of The Real Estate Council of Dallas, Associate Leadership Council, class of 1999. Kristofek is a board member of The Real Estate Council of Dallas Foundation and an active member of The Real Estate Council of Dallas, National Association of Industrial and Properties, International Council of Shopping Centers, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, and CoreNet Global.
