ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 26, 2008) — LNR Property Corporation’s Commercial Property Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Campbell as the director of development. Campbell has 20 years of industry experience, which will help LNR’s Commercial Property Group build its real estate asset portfolio and expand its presence in the Southeast region. He will work from one of the company’s Florida offices at 400 Carillon Parkway Suite 230 in St. Petersburg. LNR’s Commercial Property Group is the real estate development and investment division of LNR Property Corporation.
In this position, Campbell will be responsible for planning, entitlement and development of real estate projects in the Southeast region. He will directly supervise the development of The Landing at Heritage Harbour, a 600,000 square-foot mixed-use, lifestyle center. The center will include a 300-room hotel, retail shops and office space. The project is scheduled to break ground this year with completion in approximately two years.
Campbell’s prior experience includes serving as vice president of land development for one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, where he oversaw the development of residential projects and master-planned, mixed-use communities in Southwest Florida. He has extensive experience in construction and contract administration, with an emphasis on scheduling and cost control. Campbell was also involved in the establishment of homeowner associations and alternative financing through community development districts for the projects he supervised.

Campbell holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Florida. He has been an active member of the Florida Home Builders Association, Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Environmental and Downtown Redevelopment Committee for the Manatee County Economic Development Council.
