Fairview Research Center, one of Seattle’s most advanced life science facilities, is now 100% occupied, after two recent signings for a combined 22.6k sf of space. The latest signings were with Presage Biosciences, for 9.8k sf, and Novo Nordisk, for 12.8k sf.
The CBRE leasing team of Owen Rice and Brandon Weber won the leasing assignment for the property in 2009 and represented the owner in these most recent deals. “The building’s central location in the South Lake Union biotech corridor, and best-in-market building infrastructure/systems were a natural draw for Presage (Biosciences) and Novo (Nordisk),” stated Weber.
Biotech firms continue to find the Seattle market a desirable locale for doing business. The current average building vacancy for Seattle area biotech sits at 5.5%. Fairview Research Center is part of BioMed Realty Trust’s approximately 388k sf Puget Sound area life science portfolio.
