New Res Project in San Francisco’s Portrero Hill Neighborhood is Completed

6/09/22

A new 127-unit res development in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood has opened to the public. The project, 88 at the Park, is located at 88 Arkansas St, at the corners of 17th and Arkansas Streets.

Built by First City Development, the name for 88 at the Park was inspired by its setting next to Jackson Park. Considered a 4.4-acre grassy oasis in Potrero Hill, the park is home to two ball diamonds, a full basketball court, tennis court, playground, picnic area, and clubhouse that hosts afterschool programs as well as private events by reservation.

Designed by BAR Architects & Interiors, an award-wining California design firm, with interiors by SCB, 88 at The Park designed to bring the outdoors in. Street-facing homes feature floor-to-ceiling windows and glass-railing balconies with folding doors to maximize views and natural light. All residents have access to an interior landscaped courtyard and a rooftop deck complete with skyline views, gas barbeque grills, recreational area, and lounge areas with fire pits.

Priced from $550k, each residence is designed for day-to-day living. Market rate homes feature kitchen and living room hardwood floors, and Bertazzoni kitchen appliances, and CAT 6 fiber. Homes range from studios, to one- and two-bedrooms, sized approximately from 372 sf up to 1.2k sf. Select floorplans include a den suitable for use as a home office. The development will have 25 below market rate homes available with GE appliances.

Beyond convenience, 88 at The Park was constructed with sustainability in mind. The building was built to Cal Green Building Standards and is pursuing LEED Gold certification. A few of the green features include a solar hot water pre-heating system, energy efficient lighting and plumbing fixtures and EV charging stations and a car share.
