Alexandria Real Estate Equities, out of Pasadena, has acquired a 66.7k sf office building in San Francisco in a $66 mil ($990/sf) transaction. The property is located at at 260 Townshend St, less than a block away from the King Street Caltrain station
The property was sold by LA-based CIM Group, who had paid $24 mil for the building in 2006. The seller in that transaction was Swinerton Builders, which remains a tenant.
Constructed in 1986, the seven-story building was later renovated and certified LEED-ED Gold. The property includes an attached 75-stall parking garage. Battery Ventures is another tenant at the property.
Newmark Knight Frank repped the seller in the deal.
