San Francisco’s One Sansome Street is now 100% leased after the most recent signing in which the State of California’s Department of Corporations took 5.4k sf of recently re-purposed space at the tower. There are now 54 different companies occupying the historic 43-story, 719k sf high-rise.
The building is owned by Barker Pacific Group (BPG), who has taken what was once a typical, high-rise office building and transitioned it into a diversified multi-tenant, multi-industry investment. Meade Boutwell, Phil Tippett, and Cori English of CBRE’s San Francisco office represented One Sansome in leasing the building since BPG and its partner PGIM acquired it in 2010.
Citigroup is currently the largest tenant in the building, occupying 122k sf across seven floors. Other notable tenants include the stylish commerce startup Wish, Accenture, Sotheby’s, Travelzoo, and Turkish Airlines.
BPG serves as the property manager of One Sansome, the Class A office tower known as Citigroup Center. Construction on the high-rise began in 1983 and incorporated portions of the Holbrook Building that housed the Anglo and London Paris National Bank, which occupied the site from 1910-1981. One Sansome achieved LEED Platinum v.4 Certification in 2014, making it the first major office building in the world to obtain the highest green building standard.
