Aaron Hill - Aaron Hill was named President at Bixby Land Company, extending a successful 11-year tenure at Bixby where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Bill Halford, who has served as president and chief executive officer since 2006, retains his CEO position and continues to lead the strategic vision and growth of the company. The move is a natural progression for Hill, who as COO has overseen day-to-day operations with a focus on portfolio management for the 120-year-old, privately-held firm. Hill’s new position as president will focus on implementing Bixby’s five-year strategic plan and oversee all operational facets of the company. Hill’s promotion enables CEO Bill Halford greater focus on leading the strategic direction of the company and building new equity joint venture and separate account relationships in support of investment portfolio growth.
Jack Durburg/Danny Queenan/Martin Samworth - Jack Durburg, Danny Queenan and Martin Samworth have been named Group Presidents at CBRE Group Inc. CBRE has established the Group President title as a new enterprise-level designation for senior business line and geographic leaders who are making outstanding contributions to CBRE today and are among a small group of executives expected to lead the enterprise at the highest levels in the future. Durburg is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Americas region, CBRE’s largest business segment. Queenan is currently the President of CBRE Global Investors, and the company’s development services business, Trammell Crow Company, reports up to him. Samworth is currently the Chief Executive Officer of CBRE’s Europe, Middle East & Africa business segment. The scope of their responsibilities and reporting relationships will not immediately change with these promotions.
Lonnie Vidaurri - Real estate veteran Lonnie Vidaurri has joined StarPoint Properties as Head of Investments and Capital Markets. Vidaurri, who has nearly 20 years of senior level experience in the real estate capital markets, will be responsible for directing and executing investment strategy for the 25-year old Beverly Hills-based firm. Vidaurri joins StarPoint from Ladder Capital where he led the New York-based real estate investment trust’s Western Region. Previously he held similar positions with Onewest Bank, Barclays and Lehman Brothers.
Shawn Bakke - Shawn Bakke, a recognized national expert in single tenant and retail net lease solutions, has joined Savills Studley’s Capital Markets group as Senior Managing Director. He and Emily Mitchell, Client Coordinator, come to the company from Colliers International. Based in Savills Studley’s downtown Los Angeles office, Bakke will provide investment advisory services to corporate clients, private equity sponsors and investors of single tenant retail properties on a national basis. Bakke will work closely with Maurice Neiman, Executive Managing Director, Capital Markets, who joined the firm with two colleagues in December of last year. With more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience in business development and deal origination, Bakke has completed over 500 transactions in nearly every state in the country. His commitment to providing client-centric solutions for owner-occupied real estate has differentiated him in the industry.
Cheri Blessing/Cole Martens/Jared Smits/Hunter Warner - Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura has promoted four agents to Principal status, growing its team of senior brokers to 29. The four new principals are Cheri Blessing, Cole Martens, Jared Smits and Hunter Warner. Blessing, a retail and commercial sales and leasing specialist, and Smits, an office sales and leasing specialist, are based in the company’s Calabasas office. Martens, an investment specialist, and Warner, an industrial specialist, are based in the Sherman Oaks office. Lee & Associates operates under a unique ownership model whereby the company is owned by its principal brokers. To achieve principal status, agents must exhibit superior transactional performance and leadership qualities.
Brad Fahlgren - Brad Fahlgren has joined Bolour Associates Inc’s investor relations department. Fahlgren who brings over 10 years of experience in investor relations to the company, will be responsible for managing investor relationships and for expanding Bolour’s investor relations platform. Prior to joining Bolour, Brad served in many directorial roles at AIPAC. In his most recent role, as AIPAC Los Angeles Real Estate Director, he was responsible for the growth, development, and strategic initiatives within the Los Angeles real estate community.
Billy Woodward - Billy Woodward has joined Transwestern’s Denver office as Vice President – Agency Leasing. Woodward specializes in office and flex agency leasing, providing customized advisory services for investment and entrepreneurial owners of commercial real estate. Prior to joining Transwestern, Woodward was an Associate Director with Newmark Knight Frank handling agency leasing and sales in office, flex and industrial product in southeast Denver, having executed more than 150 transactions totaling more than 3 msf valued at $4 mil. Before Newmark, he handled special projects at Inverness Properties, including providing competitive market research and generalized marketing strategies.
Reid Wilbraham/Nicolas Vranka - Reid Wilbraham and Nicolas Vranka have joined CBRE. The duo, which is coming over from Colliers International, will be part of CBRE’s Occupier Advisory & Transaction Services group and will focus on industrial tenant services across Southern California, building on the firm’s already established strong industrial team in the region. Wilbraham joins CBRE as senior vice president and will be based in the Ontario office. A consistent top producer at Colliers, he has more than 13 years of commercial real estate industry experience at that firm. Prior to Colliers, Wilbraham was at Studley, Inc. where he represented tenants in a variety of industries, including logistics, insurance, automotive and media. Vranka joins CBRE as first vice president, based out of the Newport Beach office. With eight years of commercial real estate experience, he is known for his solution-driven approach.
Adriana Olsen/Andy Wang - At Passco Companies, Adriana Olsen and Andy Wang have been promoted to Senior Vice Presidents of the firm’s Sales division. In her new role as Senior Vice President, Sales, Adriana is responsible for raising funds for DST 1031 properties and other investment vehicles, as well as overseeing registered representatives throughout the nation. Prior to joining Passco 15 years ago, Adriana served as a licensed Real Estate Agent with Prudential Real Estate. Andy is responsible for sharing accurate and detailed information regarding the company’s DST 1031 products, and builds and maintains strong relationships with broker dealers, clients, real estate agents, and other investors as well as being a principal for Passco’s Managing Broker Dealer. Prior to joining Passco, he gained experience in financial advising and consulting with Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley.
