JANUARY 28 - SAN FRANCISCO
BOMA San Francisco is holding its January Membership Luncheon on Jan 28th at The City Club, Main Dining Room, 155 Sansome Street, 11th Floor.
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Speaker:
The Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr.
Cost: Members - $55.00, Non-members - $70.00
2010 is poised to be a very challenging year for the commercial real estate industry, and San Francisco's local industry will be greatly influenced – for better or worse - by the political environment. BOMA has invited former Mayor Willie Brown to share his views of the local political scene. With his usual humor and candid insights, he will share his opinion about which local politicians’ stars are moving up and whose are moving down. He will call out the most impressive and most unimpressive (or is it depressing?) candidates running for the Board of Supervisors and the 2011 Mayor’s race. Finally, Mayor Brown will share what he thinks will be the hot ballot measures – including new tax proposals – that will hit the voters in June or November 2010.
Brown served as San Francisco mayor from January 8, 1996 until January 8, 2004. His tenure as mayor is marked by a significant increase in real estate development, public works, city beautification, and other large-scale city projects. The San Francisco Chronicle called Brown “one of San Francisco’s most notable mayors” that had “celebrity beyond the city’s boundaries.”
Join BOMA-SF for the first of their membership luncheons in 2010 and enjoy a very special presentation from one of San Francisco’s most colorful and important public figures!
