PetSmart has taken a 15k sf pad space as a junior anchor at Willowcreek Shopping Center in Auburn. PetSmart just began construction on its new building and is scheduled to open in October. Other tenants at the cener include Starbucks, Dickey’s BBQ, Chick Fil A, Panda Express and Smart & Final.
Willowcreek Shopping Center, located along California Highway 49 at Willow Creek Rd, is owned and developed by locally-based Best Properties out of Sacramento and is ideally positioned in the heart of one of Auburn’s busiest retail corridors. Willow Creek benefits from a fully-signalized intersection at Highway 49 and Willow Creek Drive and is highly visible to the 62,000 commuters traveling Highway 49 per day.
James Teare, CRX, CLS, Blair Wheatley and Justin Allen with Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services group in Sacramento represented the landlord in the transaction. According to Wheatley, current availabilities at the center include shop space from 975 sf up to 6k sf that is well-suited for tenants in the apparel, banking, crafts & supplies, home electronics, housewares, and/or office supplies industries.
