In a large East Bay industrial lease, Coasters Company of America inked a 10-year deal for 232.9k sf of Class A warehouse space within Goodman Logistics Center Oakland in Oakland. The Santa Fe Springs-based firm’s new space will be at 8350 Pardee Dr, between Doolittle Dr and I-880, on the east side of Oakland International Airport.
The building was recently constructed and is the only Class “A” warehouse built in the Oakland region in nearly 20 years. A number of sustainable features were incorporated into the building design, which is expected to gain a Silver LEED Certification from the US Green Building Council. The facility includes 32-foot clear height, ESFR sprinklers, energy efficient lighting, concrete truck courts, ample car and truck parking.
Tim Cronin, SIOR, and Craig Hagglund, SIOR, of Lee & Associates represented Coasters Company of America. According to Lee & Associates, Coasters is expected to occupy the building when the tenant improvements are completed in June 2015.
The developer and landlord, Goodman Birtcher, was represented by Jason Ovadia, SIOR, of JLL in Walnut Creek. The lease value was not given out.
