The Nasdaq Educational Foundation has signed a 10-year lease for 13k sf of space at Foundry Square III in San Francisco. Foundry Square III is a newly-completed, 10-story office development located in San Francisco’s South Financial District, near rail, commuter ferry and major highway transportation.
The foundation is leasing the space for the establishment of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. According to Nasdaq, the Center will be designed to convene, connect and engage aspiring and current entrepreneurs, while also serving the community of the greater Bay Area through events, education and mentor programing.
The building, owned by Tishman Speyer, is LEED Gold-certified and contains one of the largest indoor living walls in the United States. Additional features include a landscaped 8th-floor terrace, 24-hour valet services, bicycle facilities, a covered parking garage and neighborhood amenities.
“Northern California continues to be one of the world’s great incubators for technological advancement and business innovation, so there’s no better place than San Francisco for the establishment of this facility,” said Tishman Speyer Senior Managing Director Carl Shannon. Financial terms of the transaction announced today were not disclosed.
