Tricon Residential Inc and HHS Residential have broken ground on Hardwick, a high-quality rental community in Saginaw, TX. Hardwick is the second of Tricon’s 13 new, purpose-built, single-family rental home communities in Texas, including five in metropolitan Dallas-Fort Worth, three in Houston, three in San Antonio, and two in Austin.
“Saginaw is a popular destination for families and has grown significantly over the last decade. We are a low tax city with great parks and a strong school system. Our small-town feel is evident at our Farmer’s Market, Food Truck Park, and annual community events. These amenities draw new residents, especially families, to our city,” said Mayor Todd Flippo, City of Saginaw. “Having a well-balanced supply of quality housing is necessary for Saginaw. Hardwick is a vital asset for our community, situated near parks, schools, shopping, and our city center. This development at the center of town will serve our growing population well.”
Located near the SW corner of W. McLeroy Blvd and Woodcrest Dr in Saginaw, Hardwick will feature 166 single-family homes with three- and four-bedroom options, state-of-the-art technology, and outdoor amenities, including a recreation center with a multi-purpose room, picnic area, playground, a dog park, pool and spa, and a ‘tot lot’ with a children’s playground. In addition, Hardwick homes will include energy-efficient, stainless-steel appliances, attached two-car garages, keyless front door entry, and smart home technology.
Development of the community is expected to progress through 2022, with a Grand Opening planned for the summer of 2023. The community is conveniently situated near parks, shops, schools, and freeways I-820 and I-35W, easily connecting to Fort Worth.
Hardwick is part of Tricon's previously announced build-to-rent pipeline of 3,000 new build-to-rent homes across 23 communities. Tricon Residential will operate Hardwick upon completion of construction. The project developer is HHS Residential.
