A 12.4k sf retail and residential mixed-use property in San Diego’s South Park neighborhood sold for $5.5 mil ($443.50/sf). The 14.4k sf parcel is located at 3006-3020 Beech St, north of Hwy 94 between I-15 and Balboa Park.
The property includes nine residential units and three retail spaces. The retail spaces are currently occupied by Hamilton’s Tavern, South Park Brewing Co and KINDRED, all of which will remain open under the new ownership.
Bill Shrader, Joe Brady and Amy McNamara of Colliers International’s Urban Property Team represented the seller, UBS Properties LP. Brady and McNamara, along with Colliers International’s Ryan Foley, repped the buyer, Midwest Investment Properties LLC.
“San Diego’s urban neighborhoods continue to be a hotspot for investors,” said Shrader. “This property has been under the same family ownership for more than 70 years and provided a rare opportunity to acquire a well-located property that is home to some of San Diego’s best-known culinary and craft beer experiences.”
