Meta Housing Corp’s Latest Development Adds 40 Units of Affordable Housing to East Hollywood

4/05/17

Meta Housing Corporation has completed work on 5400 Hollywood Family Apartments, a 40-unit, mixed-use affordable apartment community in the heart of East Hollywood. The five-story apartment community, developed at a cost of $21.6 mil, is located at 1655 North Serrano Ave, east of Western Ave on the south side of Hollywood Blvd.

The new apartment community is comprised of affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans along with 3.5k sf of ground floor commercial space. It also offers some of the most contemporary features and amenities found in the newest and most modern market-rate apartments across the city.

“Housing affordability continues to be a major concern for families throughout Los Angeles,” says Kasey Burke, President of Meta Housing Corporation. “There are more than 7,000 new apartments anticipated to be delivered to the market over the course of 2017, many of which are luxury communities. As new luxury supply and rents continue to inch upward, 5400 Hollywood Family Apartments fills a deep void in the community by providing residents with new, quality housing that is also affordable.”

Constructed to LEED Gold Certification standards, 5400 Hollywood Family Apartments utilizes the latest in sustainable and green design. The project incorporates drought-tolerant plant materials in order to reduce the amount of water at the project, as well as reduce operating costs.
