Legacy Partners has completed Phase I at Wayfarer Apartments + Marina, previously known as Mariners Bay. The 30-month renovation project, which commenced in January 2016, entails $65 mil in renovations to the 379-unit apartment complex originally built in the mid-1970s.
The first phase of the project covered renovation work to 57 units of the complex. It also included a new leasing office, an updated boaters lounge and bike depot, and two completed models now available for touring.
The complete renovation to Wayfarer Apartments + Marina includes updates to all appliances, fixtures and balconies, as well as installation of high-efficiency windows, new central heating and air conditioning. Also being overhauled and expanded is the fitness center, clubhouse, three tennis courts and pool, as well as 350 boat slips that accompany the property. Units range from studios to two-bedrooms and rents will start from $2,500 to a little over $5,500 a month.
Surrounded by water on three sides, allowing for panoramic waterfront views to 70 percent of the units, Wayfarer Apartments + Marina also enjoys walkable proximity to shops, restaurants, Venice Beach, Santa Monica and the rest of Silicon Beach.
The development contractor is Mike Rovner Construction and the architect is Area Architecture.
