Camden USA Inc has obtained a certificate of occupancy for The Camden, a 287-unit, mixed-use urban infill project at 1540 North Vine St in Hollywood. The project was designed by TCA Architects and built by Bernards.
Situated on a previously neglected site at the corner of Selma and Vine, the mixed-use multifamily project has a five-story residential component atop a two-story podium totaling 672.8k sf. The Camden boasts the posh Equinox Health Club located on the street level, an unrivaled sunset deck with a heated salt water pool, cabanas, grilling areas and a jumbo digital screen monitor perched on the south end of the deck. Amenities also include a lounge with a gourmet kitchen, a private outdoor exercise area, a space dedicated to create art, and a dog den designed exclusively for The Camden’s four legged residents.
The contemporary, luxury residential project also features six themed central courtyards and four “art wall” panels, with images etched onto porcelain tiles positioned at the base of the towers. The exterior facade is clad with metal panels, plaster, wood trellis, tile veneer, and burnished concrete masonry units.
This is the second project Bernards has recently completed for Camden, the other being the seven-story, 303-unit Camden Glendale (formerly Glendale Triangle) residential mixed-use project. That development, located at 3900 San Fernando Rd in Glendale, was completed in 2015.
