Los Angeles Rams’ owner Stan Kroenke closed on a large property acquisition in the San Fernando Valley, paying $325 mil for The Village, a 600k sf outdoor retail center in Warner Center. The property was sold by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
The property is located adjacent to the former Promenade mall site, which Kroenke bought in 2022 for around $150 mil and on which he’s building a practice facility for the Rams. Kroenke also bought an adjacent 13-story story office tower formerly occupied by Anthem Blue Cross on 25 acres along Oxnard St.
Kroenke’s plans call for a massive mixed-use redevelopment of the land assemblage. The proposed campus will likely include retail, restaurants, hotels and/or residential projects. It will also contain the practice facility and company headquarters for the Rams.
