Nolan Bushnell to Keynote California MBA’s 2022 Western States CREF Conference Sep 7- 9 in Las Vegas

8/30/22

California MBA is holding its 2022 Western States CREF Conference on Sep 7 through Sep 9 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. This three-day conference is packed with highly valuable networking and educational opportunities covering the hottest topics in the CRE space. You’ll be able to attend numerous industry panels featuring expert speakers.

The keynote speaker at the conference will be Nolan Bushnell, the founder of Atari. Mr. Bushnell founded Atari with an initial $250 investment and within five years the company was worth north of $28 million under his leadership as well as other impressive investments.

Join us and others for a wide-reaching discussion extrapolating the trends that will affect our shared future, the impact of technology on real estate from self-driving cars to office-space planning to the future of entertainment, and how to be ready to react in kind. How will technological advances affect commercial real estate utilization and value going forward, and how should our industry prepare?

PLUS, Mr. Bushnell will join California MBA board member Cody Charfauros of Slatt Capital for a fireside chat right after his comments.

Bushnell, an investor and legendary Silicon Valley pioneer, engineer, and inventor in technology and consumer electronics, founded Atari in 1972 with an initial $250 investment. Within five years the company was worth north of $28 million under his leadership.

He famously hired youngsters Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak to help code his games and work on hardware, and perhaps more famously declined a very early investment opportunity in Apple Computer. Mr. Bushnell also created Chuck E. Cheese and has been inducted into both the Video Game Hall of Fame and the Consumer Electronics Association Hall of Fame, and was named one of Newsweek’s “50 Men Who Changed America”.

Mr. Bushnell has started more than 20 companies and is widely recognized as one of the founding fathers of the technology industry, being consistently at the forefront of robotics, cybersecurity, computer animation, and computer vision. Bushnell is also the bestselling author of Finding the Next Steve Jobs, which aims to help organizations foster talent and creativity. He was also an early real estate investor in Silicon Valley and personally witnessed that region’s explosive growth.
