Stockbridge Spends $127 Mil on Bay Area Life Science Campus


Stockbrige has purchased Waterfront at Harbor Bay, a six-building, 385k sf Class A office, life science and distribution campus in the East Bay, in a transaction worth $127.5 mil. The company is also in the process of acquiring an additional 5.12 acres at 1951 Harbor Bay Pkwy, at the north end of Oakland International Airport.

Built between 1996 and 2000, the existing buildings at Waterfront are 100% leased. The property offers an abundance of on-site amenities including a renovated café/restaurant, fitness center, large courtyard with bocce ball and a basketball court. The campus was sold by SRM Ernest and Hillwood Development

The property is located within the Alameda submarket, which contains the fourth highest density of life science firms in the San Francisco Bay Area. The property is also situated within the Harbor Bay Business Park, a 325-acre mixed-use commercial development that includes office, retail, housing and hotels.
