45-Acre Organic Farm Property in Hawaii Trades Hands

8/09/19

Pacific Organics Inc has acquired Kauai Organic Farms, a 44.63-acre agricultural property situated in Kilauea, Hawaii. One of the most profitable organic farms in Hawaii, Kauai Organic Farms is a grower and wholesaler of high-quality organic turmeric, Hawaiian yellow ginger and galangal.

Pacific Organics, a Hawaii Corporation, acquired the property along with the business for an undisclosed price. The seller was The Green Family.

Located at 4469W N Waiakalua Rd, Kauai Organic Farms provides an idyllic location within the exclusive community of Kilauea Farms, positioned near Kauai’s North Shore / Pacific Ocean. Known as the Garden Island, Kauai is renowned for its natural beauty, while its landscape and rich culture have made the island a rapidly growing top tourist destination.

The property consists of approximately 26 farmable acres and a 150 GPM water well. The property also features a 4.8k sf, custom three-bed/3.5-bath Hawaiian-Japanese style home with mountain views and resort-quality landscaping including lychee and various other fruit trees. The property is also equipped with a 3.6k sf processing and packing barn with a commercial kitchen, two 40’ shipping containers/upstairs office, two equipment hoop houses and well house.

Anthony Provenzano with Cushman & Wakefield | Chaney Brooks in Honolulu represented the seller in the transaction. Matt Davis, Curtis Buono, and Terry Jackson of Cushman & Wakefield’s Agribusiness Solutions Team in San Diego provided advisory services.

Provenzano noted, “Hawaii’s tropical climate and fertile soils allow for a wide range of crops to be cultivated across 1.12 million acres of active farmland. Kauai benefits from a 365-days-a-year growing season and the island’s soil and climate make it the best location in Hawaii as well as the United States for growing turmeric and ginger.”
